Chamonix

Big-mountain drama at the foot of Mont Blanc.

The birthplace of alpinism, where a working valley town sits beneath glaciers, granite spires and some of the most serious terrain in Europe.

Chamonix is not a purpose-built resort and never pretends to be. Five separate ski areas — Grands Montets, Brévent-Flégère, Le Tour and Les Houches among them — spread along the valley floor, linked by a free ski bus and served by a town that lives all year round.

Our valley collection runs from Les Praz and Argentière to the town centre itself: renovated Savoyard houses, glass-fronted contemporary chalets and quiet woodland properties, most with wellness areas and terraces angled at the Aiguilles.
