General Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to your account, your enquiries and your stay with us.

Last updated: September 2026

1. Who we are

These general terms and conditions apply to the website winter-skichalets.com and to every account, enquiry and booking made through it.

Winter-Skichalets, Fröhstockheimer Weg 8, 97348 Rödelsee, Germany. Email booking@winter-skichalets.com, WhatsApp +49 177 9039361.

2. Your account

You may create an account to save chalets, send enquiries and follow your stay. You must give accurate details, keep your password confidential and tell us if you believe someone else has used your account.

Accounts are for personal use. You may close your account at any time by writing to booking@winter-skichalets.com. We may suspend an account that is used unlawfully or to misuse the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a booking.

3. Enquiries and bookings

Prices, availability and descriptions shown on this website are an invitation to enquire and are not a binding offer. A booking is only confirmed once we have sent you a written confirmation and the applicable payment has been received.

Where a property is operated by an owner or local partner, their house rules form part of your booking and are provided with your confirmation.

We take care to describe each chalet accurately. Occasional changes made by owners, or seasonal conditions such as snow cover and lift opening dates, are outside our control.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in the currency stated on the property or invoice and include the taxes indicated there. Local charges such as tourist tax, ski passes or additional services may be payable separately.

Invoices are issued to the guest named on the booking and are payable by bank transfer to the account shown on the invoice, by the due date stated there. Payment reminders are sent automatically before and after the due date.

We may cancel a booking that remains unpaid after the final due date.

5. Changes and cancellations

The cancellation and amendment conditions for your stay are set out in your written booking confirmation, as they depend on the property and the season. Please read them before you pay.

To change or cancel a booking, write to booking@winter-skichalets.com. Your cancellation takes effect on the day we receive it.

If we have to change or cancel a confirmed booking for reasons beyond our control, we will offer a comparable alternative where possible or refund the amounts you have paid for the part of the stay not provided.

6. Arrival, check-in and stay

Online check-in lets you send your guest details in advance. Details are used to prepare your arrival and, where required, to meet local registration obligations.

Guests are responsible for the property during the stay and for any damage beyond normal use. A security deposit may apply, as stated in your confirmation.

7. Insurance

Travel insurance is not included. We strongly recommend cover for cancellation, medical costs, winter sports activities and mountain rescue for every member of your party.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, and then limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract.

We are not liable for weather, snow conditions, lift closures, road conditions or other circumstances outside our control.

9. Website content

Photographs, text and design on this website belong to Winter-Skichalets or to the owners who supplied them and may not be reused without written permission.

10. Complaints and applicable law

If something is not right during your stay, please tell us immediately so that we can put it right on the spot. Write to booking@winter-skichalets.com for anything unresolved afterwards.

German law applies. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged, and are not willing, to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
