How to Choose Your Perfect Alpine Escape

The hardest part of booking an Alpine holiday is not finding a beautiful house. It is working out which beautiful house belongs to your particular group, in your particular week.

Decide how much you want to be looked after

This is the single most useful question. Fully catered removes every decision; self catered returns them all to you; bed and breakfast splits the difference. Groups usually know the answer instinctively.

Count the bathrooms, not the bedrooms

Twelve people in a six-bedroom house with three bathrooms is a very different holiday to the same twelve with six. We list both on every property for exactly this reason.

Be realistic about altitude and dates

Christmas and early January are less snow-certain at lower altitudes than the photographs suggest. February half term is busy everywhere and books eighteen months ahead. April is the best-value skiing of the season if you go high.

Ready to turn this into a holiday? Our resort specialists will shortlist three houses for your dates.
